Bandon is home for us. Oregon Coast Pest Solutions started here in 2023, and most days you’ll see our truck somewhere between Old Town, the beach loop and the neighborhoods out toward the cranberry bogs.
Living this close to the ocean is great, but the damp air and mild winters make it easy for pests to settle in. The calls we get most in Bandon are pretty consistent:
- Mice and rats moving into attics, garages and crawl spaces once the fall rains start.
- Moisture ants in wet wood around windows, decks and siding — a common sign there’s a moisture problem worth fixing.
- Spiders on porches, eaves and in basements, especially in late summer and fall.
- Wasps building nests under eaves and in sheds in the warmer months.
For rodents, we don’t just set traps and leave. We look for how they’re getting in, then seal it up — vent screens, gaps around pipes, garage doors, foundation holes. That exclusion work is what keeps the problem from coming back next year.
A lot of Bandon homes have older crawl spaces, and that’s where we find trouble. We can inspect for termites and other wood-destroying organisms (WDO), and if your vapor barrier or insulation is torn up or soaked, we can replace it so your crawl space stays drier and less inviting to pests.
We work on vacation rentals too. If you manage a place in town and can’t always be there, we’ll coordinate with you and let you know what we found.
